Sunday Worship April 2

“The Lord’s power overcame me, and while I was in the Lord’s spirit, he led me out and set me down in the middle of a certain valley. It was full of bones. He led me through them all around, and I saw that there were a great many of them on the valley floor, and they were very dry.”

This Sunday, our reading comes from Ezekiel… the valley of dry bones. We come to the Lord’s Table, celebrating communion and covenant together. All are welcome.

Sunday Worship March 12

Sunday Worship March 5

This is the First Sunday in Lent. The scripture text is Matthew’s Temptation of Christ. Gary’s sermon will ask how we are being tested as bearers of Christ in today’s world. It is also the first Sunday of the month, so we will gather at the Lord’s Table of Love, breaking bread and sharing the cup with anyone who wishes to receive. Kids will start in Sunday School and rejoin their families for Communion.

A special note: It is traditional during Lent to avoid the use of “alleluia.” For the next five weeks, we will replace our usual doxology with an offering response from the New Century Hymnal. Be sure to arrive early so Gerald can teach us the tune!
