Started in 2009, the Blueberry Festival is held on the first Saturday in August. The Festival provides intergenerational fellowship for the Church and raises money to further its mission. It’s a fun-filled day for the entire community and the day begins with none other than a Blueberry Pancake Breakfast.
The children look forward to the ‘Pocket Lady’, where they can buy a chance to reach into a pocketed apron for a prize. There’s also a bounce house, dunk tank, whipped cream pie eating contest, crafts, face painting, games, cake walk, etc. We have a food cart that includes hot dogs, hamburgers and vegetarian sandwiches. And there are several booths with everything Blueberry: baked goods, ice cream, smoothies, granola and short cake.
The silent auction is very popular, with items such as antique furniture, paintings by local artists, vacation rentals, sports tickets, gift certificates to local businesses, pottery and china, guitars, useful household items, etc. Please contact the Silent Auction Committee with donations or questions.
Musical entertainment is provided throughout the festival by talented church members. Noah’s White Elephant sells used treasures and there are multiple craft vendors selling their hand-made wares. If you would like to sell your crafts at the festival, please contact us by email or call the Church Office at 374-2891.
Come and join in the fun! There’s something new every year.
