Our Team

Vickie was born and raised in Maine. She graduated from the Deer Isle / Stonington High School and lives in Stonington today.  Vickie has spent most of her career working in the hospitality industry as an innkeeper and has also worked as an administrative assistant and bookkeeper. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, yoga, meditation, hiking and gardening.

Born and raised on Mount Desert Island, Lydia is thrilled to be applying her music and conducting experience as the Director of Music at the First Congregational Church of Blue Hill. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a Masters in Choral Conducting from Westminster Choir College. She has also performed with a variety of choirs, including the Westminster Choir, Westminster Jubilee Singers, and Westminster Symphonic Choir, and locally with the Bagaduce Chorale, Mount Desert Summer Chorale, and the Gilbert & Sullivan Society.”

Douglas Haldane trained as a nautical archaeologist and lived in Egypt for ten years where he directed the Institute for Nautical Archaeology’s branch there. He, his wife Jane, and daughter Nellie moved to Blue Hill in 2004. Doug worked as a carpenter at Brooklin Boatyard from 2004-2009 and other boatyards since. His special interests include antique motorcycles and Highland bagpipe music.
