Join us for an open discussion concerning the trials parents of children (including adult children) with emotional challenges face and the associated stigma. Betsy Rose, volunteer president of the Bangor affiliate of National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), will share her personal experiences with mental illness in her family and how she found help and hope through NAMI. Lisa Groo, LCPC will also share with us how to navigate emergency situations. The United Church of Christ (UCC) Mental Health Network works to reduce stigma and promote the inclusion of people with mental illnesses/brain disorders and their families in the life, leadership and work of congregations.  For more information, contact Ruth Miller at 374-2003.  All are welcome.
