Birds on a Wire perform an eclectic blend of original, roots, and cover songs with a few fiddle tunes mixed in for good measure. Heather Jellison on guitar and sings like an angel! Geoff Warner has been writing songs and playing guitar for decades, he also backs the band up on fiddle and mandolin. Christopher Kapsha adds to the trio with his talented bass playing and chimes in on some vocal work. The first hour will be open mic, where anyone is welcome to perform: music, mime, poetry, dance, etc. Performers are asked to arrive a few minutes early to sign up. There will be a brief intermission with refreshments, followed by Birds on a Wire.
The Dolly Fisher Emergency Fund, named after Blue Hill’s first settled pastor’s wife, provides emergency fuel, food, and utility help for households on the Blue Hill Peninsula. This fun evening is for all ages and will be held downstairs in Fellowship Hall. Admission is by free will offering. FMI: contact 374-2891.
