Please join the deacons for the next Dinner and a Movie on Monday, September 18 at 5:30pm. Bring your own brown bag supper, or get a bowl of soup from Simmering Pot, and meet us in the Youth Group room. This month’s movie is “Chariots of Fire.” Based on a true story from the 1924 Olympics, the film explores questions of faith, commitment, and loyalty to team and country through the experience of two members of the British Olympic team. It won Best Picture, Best Score, Best Costume Design, and Best Original Screenplay in the 1982 Academy Awards and is rated PG. The movie runs just over 2 hours in length, and we’ll spend about 30 minutes in discussion afterwards, wrapping up no later than 8:30pm.
