This Week’s Preview

Sunday Worship June 15, 2025

Grace and peace to you, from God our Creator and the Lord Jesus Christ!  This is a liturgical season rich with commemoration!  While we are not a creedal church, which is to say that there are no requirements of attestation of faith, rather affirmations of faith.  We are a church that proclaims God’s eternal presence with us as Creator, Christ and Holy Spirit, known by a variety of trinitarian terms.  We may sometimes say Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer, or the more familiar Father, Son, and Holy Ghost/Spirit.  About these terms, theologians and less linguistically or theologically minded folks remain in agreement.  All is a mystery, because the God we worship, thank, and praise, is not completely knowable on “this side of the veil.”  Still, we celebrate Trinity Sunday in recognition that God is ever present with us and makes Godself known to us in a variety of ways.  For my part, this is a “blessed” truth for which I am grateful.
 
We will be accompanied in our worship by our instrumental consort under the direction of Ann Boudreaux, and I know we all look forward to hearing what they will have prepared for us this week!

We offer worship in-person as well as on Zoom. Coffee & tea are available after the church service. Masks are not required in the church but are encouraged when singing hymns.
