Blue Hill History Hunt

In celebration of our church’s 250th anniversary, we are partnering with other local organizations to host a Blue Hill “History Hunt” on Friday, August 5th from 1:00-4:00pm. It was in 1772 that 8 men and 6 women established the First Congregational Church of Blue Hill. The Hunt will take participants of all ages to the Jonathan Fisher House, Blue Hill Historical Society’s Holt House, The American Legion (formerly the Blue Hill Academy), and the Blue Hill Public Library to explore the local history of the past 250 years. At each location, a map and instructions for the Hunt will be provided. Visit the locations, answer questions, and decode a secret message! The Hunt will end at our church with refreshments, as well as a prize drawing. Guided tours will be available at most locations.
