Sunday Worship, July 4

This Sunday falls on “Independence Day,” and our service will be observing this theme throughout. How might we understand this holiday given the complexities of our history–above all, the expanding awareness over recent years regarding the matter of racism (BLM) and the widening disparities between rich and poor in our country and world? We will explore this theme through the lens of the biblical texts appointed for the day… I will reflect on the long arc of the struggle for racial justice in our country, aided by the work of several poets

Join us, along with guest preacher Rev. Dr. Mark Burrows, for worship in-person or via Zoom. We will also be gathering after worship for an outdoor coffee hour. Bring your own coffee, and we’ll see you there!
