While both our Gospel reading and Paul’s letter this morning could make us focus heavily on issues of law and rightness, we are encouraged to understand that Jesus would have us do whatever it takes to help our neighbors and our family to do what is good for them.  This kind of struggle between perceptions of law and truths of love has not disappeared, and perhaps we may learn something from Jesus’ earliest followers in order to make our way forward.
