We, as Christians, believe that there is far more that unites us than there is that divides us. Given all that is going on in our country and our world today, we think that it is more important than ever to celebrate the commonalities of the faith that we share. We hope to strengthen the bonds amongst the churches here on the peninsula so that we can, in turn, strengthen the message of the love of Jesus that we bring to the villages in our community.
It is with joy and excitement that the First Congregational Church of Blue Hill has decided to revive the Ecumenical Advent Breakfast that we have celebrated in the past. We hope that you will be able to join us this Advent season for a potluck breakfast on Saturday, December 9 at 8:00am in Fisher Hall. We will have fellowship over a yummy breakfast, and brief words of inspiration from best-selling author and minister Laura O’Connor Fahey, who will speak on the theme that “There is more that unites us than divides us.”  We will also enjoy the sweet sounds of the lovely Evensong Singers, and will join in singing a few of our favorite Christmas Carols.
